Clerks Soundtrack Finally on Vinyl

MCDCLER EC005

It only took 20 years since the film’s release, but the soundtrack to Kevin Smith’s cult comedy favorite “Clerks” is coming out on vinyl.

The soundtrack release is a 2 LP set with one side dedicated to dialogue from the movie. Rumor was that licensing to get these songs for the movie actually cost more than the production costs for making the music in the first place. Featured on the new “Clerks” vinyl release are Alice in Chains (the movie helped make the song “Got Me Wrong” a hit), Girls Against Boys, the Jesus Lizard, Bad Religion, Soul Asylum, Corrosion of Conformity and Stabbing Westward. The soundtrack also has music from Kevin Smith’s pals Love Among Freaks who also scored the movie.

The double LP “Clerks” album will be available November 11th.

This means you have something to sit next to that “Clerks” VHS tape that you’ve worn out.
