‘The Chris Gethard Show’ Keeping Its Buzz
The weird little public access show didn’t get picked up by Comedy Central so why does it still have so much heat? The NY Daily News took a look around to find out why this small show airing on the Manhattan Neighbor Network is generating such a strong cult following and a whole lot of buzz. Zach Galifianakis, Horatio Sanz, Amy Poehler and Joe Machi have been guests, and Judd Apatow, Adam McKay and Paul Rudd all consider themselves fans. What they found out was simple. People really like it.
“We’re this underdog,” Gethard told the Daily News says over lunch at Brooklyn Label in Greenpoint. “We’re not claiming to be something we’re not, and we’re not scared to show ourselves.”
