Chinese TV Host Replaced On The Air After Going Off Script

Cui Jianbin, the host of Hubei Television’s Longshang Channel, a show normally dedicated to agricultural news, got the hook after he started criticizing local officials during a live broadcast, for their wasteful spending. What’s not seen in the video is the anchorwoman who stepped in to replace Cui – or Cui being told he’s being immediately transferred to an affiliate near the Mongolian border.
