China decided to put on a show by bringing out 6 tons of ivory tusks and confiscated ornaments and feeding them through a crushing machine. China is the world’s largest market for illegal ivory. Once the tusks were destroyed, Chinese common folk began storming the operation to attempt to snort the magical dust.
