Smoking in Chicago just got a little tougher. Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel has proposed a 75 cent tax on cigarettes in the city, bringing the total tax on a pack of cigarettes to $7.42. This would bring the total cost to $11 for a pack of smokes. You think people are killing each other a lot now? Wait until they can’t get their hands on some Newports.
