Is this an inspired choice or just a flat out strange choice? Charlie Kaufman will adapt the Patrick Ness young adult novel series. Chaos Walking has the potential to become another futuristic Hunger Games-esque franchise. Charlie’s adaptations can bring many elements that were not in the book, as anyone who saw what he did with the Susan Orlean book The Orchid Thief already knows.
