Censorship Watch: After Lynx Ad Banned in the UK for Degrading Women, Lynx Issues “Apology”
Yet another from our “Banned in the UK Files.” This time, a web ad campaign for Lynx deodorant is pulled for treating women like sex objects. And we thought Europe was supposed to be more open to sexually suggestive content in their advertising?
The model, reality star Lucy Pinder has appeared in the BBCs’s “The Real Hustle Undercover” and “Celebrity Big Brother.” The Guardian reported that it was a mere 10 complaints that provoked the ban.

But Lynx has struck back, by releasing this ‘cheeky’ apology video featuring Pinder in a woolly jumper pulling out a series of props from previous advertisements, while an apology scrolls across the bottom of the screen. Read more on the “apology” at The HuffingtonPost.com
