Call Me Lucky Coming to On Demand Digital Platforms This Friday

Barry Crimmins called the Bennington show on SiriusXM today to make a big announcement. All of the great press he and Bobcat Goldthwait have generated for their film, Call Me Lucky has created a huge demand for the documentary. Rather than make a ton of prints to send out to more theaters, which is pretty expensive, Crimmins said they have made a deal to release the film on major digital platforms this Friday August 21. So it doesn’t matter where you live, or how far you are from a great indie theater, as of Friday if you have access to iTunes, Amazon or any other major digital distribution platform, you can watch this amazing film.
If you haven’t already checked them out, read our interview with Barry and Bobcat about the film, and our 5 pieces of handpicked Barry Crimmins wisdom from the Unmasked Episode Bob and Barry did with Ron Bennington at SiriusXM. Earl Douglas also made Call Me Lucky an editors pick on Filtered Excellence the week the film was released.
If you’re up in the Boston area right before New Years, go see Barry do his thing live, on December 29 at Johnny G’s. Crimmins used to do an annual year in review show there, but they’re closing soon, so he’s going back for one last run at it in a very cool spot. Barry says (and if Barry says, it’s true) that its a tremendous music venue with a great history, so this should be a spectacular event.

Also at the Somerville Theater in Boston this weekend if you want to catch the beuatiful cinemetography on the big screen.
