Buster Scruggs Has a Second Trailer

Saul Rubinek is Frenchman, Tyne Daly is Lady, and Chelcie Ross is Trapper in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, a film by Joel and Ethan Coen.

Everyone’s excited about the upcoming Coen Brothers six part Western anthology, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. Described as a series of tales about the American frontier told through the unique and incomparable voice of Joel and Ethan Coen. Each chapter tells a distinct story about the American West.

The Coens have show that the Western is still relevant, and we can’t wait to see this, their third dive into the old west. This one promises to be their most overtly comedic, and now we have a little more information on how the stories break down and who stars in each individual story. In the “Ballad of Buster Scruggs,” you’ll find Tim Blake Nelson stars as Scruggs and there is a very familiar cast scattered amongst the stories. In “Near Algodones” James Franco plays a “Cowboy.” Liam Neeson will appears an “Impresario” in a story titled “Meal Ticket.” You’ll find Tom Waits playing a “Prospector” in “All Gold Canyon” while Zoe Kazan shows up in “The Girl who Rattled.” “The Mortal Remains” stars Brendan Gleeson and Tyne Daly as an Irishman and a Lady, and Paul Rubincheck as “Frenchman.”

The cast includes Bill Heck, Grainger Hines, Harry Melling, Liam Neeson, Jonjo O’Neill, Chelcie Ross, Clancy Brown, Jefferson Mays, Stephen Root, and Willie Watson. The film received the Best Screenplay award at the Venice Film Festival.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs will have a limited run in theaters on November 8th, and hits Netflix on November 16th.
