Binge Drinking Is More Popular Than Ever

Emergency room visits for alcohol and binge drinking have jumped 38% in the last ten years according to the CDC.
The visits included diagnoses of alcoholic psychosis, alcohol-dependence syndrome, alcohol abuse, alcoholic polyneuropathy, alcoholic cardiomyopathy, alcoholic gastritis, alcoholic liver cirrhosis, excess blood alcohol, and alcohol poisoning.
What’s really worth noting is that it’s gone up equally for men and women. Women may have to deal with a glass ceiling, but everyone deals with a porcelain floor equally.
