Baltimore Ravens Ray Rice Says He Watched the 49ers Leave in Disgrace
Ray Rice, running back for the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens stopped by the SiriusXM studios in New York and talked with host Ron Bennington. While Ray was still elated over the Raven’s Super Bowl win, he talked about what it must be like to feel the “disgrace” of losing the game. Rice told Bennington about what he saw on the field after the game was over and how the San Francisco 49ers were marched off to their locker room and were already forgettable.
“No one remembers the losers in the game. I watched it literally. Before the confetti and everything came down, I watched how they started to put gates up and shadow the other team into their locker room. And I said – you know what? That’s got to be the most disgracing feeling that you can have. And other teams, yeah – you can say they lost, they lost, but they didn’t make it to the Super Bowl. You lose in the Super Bowl, that hurts.”
