Kids Ready to Throw Down at Hunger Games Camp
Hunger Games day camp in Largo, Florida had the kids all excited about getting to kill each other and debating who they were going to battle until someone was dead. Counselors had to keep reminding the day campers that there would be no violence despite the camp being based on the movie where kids fight to the death. Players were collecting flags from other kids to signify a “killing”, until the camp decided to change that rule to “collecting lives”. One area child psychologist called the idea of the camp based on a violent film “unthinkable”. Next Summer, the organizers are planning a Pulp Fiction Day Camp.
