Angry Birds Movie Adds All-Star Comedy Cast
Sony Pictures Animation is trying to cram as many funny people into their new “Angry Birds” movie as possible. The mobile game that is being turned into a full length animated 3-D movie stars the voices of Jason Sudeikis, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, Ike Barinholtz, Hannibal Buress, Keegan-Michael Key, Cristela Alonzo, Jillian Bell and Danielle Brooks. Wait, there was no room for Horatio Sanz!?
According to the Hollywood Reporter, “Angry Birds” producer John Cohen said – “I’m extremely proud of this cast. Not only do we have Jason, Josh, Danny, Bill, Maya and Peter bringing these characters to life, but they’re surrounded by an all-star ensemble of emerging comedic talent — these are some of the funniest people out there today, and we’re thrilled to have them all on board”. If this wins an Oscar, he’ll never remember everyone’s name in his acceptance speech.
Angry Birds is due out in theaters on Friday, July 1, 2016.
