Amy Schumer Flips Her Support in NY Governors Race

Was it the bagel?

If you haven’t decided who you are voting for in NYC yet, and the opinion of a very politically active and very famous comedian matters to you, you might want to know who plans to vote for.

Amy Schumer has publically declared that she’s changing her vote in this Thursday’s election. Although she previously had announced her support for Gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon, even donating $10,000 to her campaign, today she posted on instagram that she just couldn’t go through with it.

Was it bagel gate?  Did Amy Schumer pull out of backing Nixon because she put lox on a cinnamon raisin bagel freaking out bagel purists everywhere? If that’s the reason, she’s not admitting it.

Schumer posted on Instagram on Tuesday encouraging followers to vote, and announcing that she’s backing Cuomo. “Andrew isn’t my fav dude But he’s good gov,” she said in her less than resounding endorsement. She wrote that she wanted to vote for Nixon, but has decided “i don’t believe she would know what the heck to do.”

Schumer is also voting for Jumaane Williams for Lieutenant Governor and she’s voting for Zephyr Teachout for New York State Attorney General, saying she is the most qualified and will take on Trump.
