In the war of retail vs. online shopping, Amazon had an edge up by not making customers pay sales tax. Lawmakers not happy with this went after Amazon making them fight back. In the end though Amazon stopped the battle and will now charge sales tax. This makes retail stores happy thinking that they now have a better chance of surviving. Wrong, Amazon did this so they can now put distribution centers in all the states letting them unveil their new retailer killer strategy… Same day shipping. That’s right; Amazon is planning to let you buy something on their site and later that day it will be at your house. Leaving the big questions, how long before none of us leave our homes at all?
