Is Always Sunny Down a Man or Not?
No firm answers to the mystery of whether Dennis will return this season to Paddy’s Pub. Neither FX nor Glen Howerton are giving anything away.
The question will remain open and be one of the season 13 plot points. Howerton of course has joined the cast of AP Bio, but other projects haven’t necessarily kept the series cast from returning to Paddys before.
The show will return on September 5th for their thirteenth and luckiest season so far. The official word is that The Gang Returns…mostly, “with Mac, Charlie, Dee and Frank returning to Paddy’s Pub while Dennis takes on the new role of father in North Dakota.”
Having Dennis appear in the series but not share scenes with his co-stars could ease a complicated shooting schedule. Back in January, Howerton tweeted that he couldn’t say whether or not Dennis would return to the series, as it would give away a season plot point.
Today’s announcement also confirms that this season will address the “greatest moment in Philadelphia sports history – an Eagles Super Bowl victory.”
