Always Check If You Have Old Warrants

A Connecticut woman has spent the last four days in jail in Florida for a 22 year old charge for shop lifiting cigarettes in 1991. She was on a Disney cruise with her family when police officers were waiting for her when the boat docked. They found that she had an old warrant when they were checking the passenger list for terrorists. She’s now waiting to be moved since the crime she has the warrant for is not in the county she’s in. All this happened because she didn’t pay the $85 dollar court fee back in 1991. Good to see the anti-terror watch dogs getting their job done but really, what’s worse – spending four days in a Florida lock up or being stuck on a Disney cruise?
