“Ain’t It Cool With Harry Knowles” Now Saturday Nights On PBS – Austin

Starting this Saturday, Austin’s favorite pop culture critic and “head geek” Harry Knowles will make his television premiere in his hometown. “Ain’t Cool with Harry Knowles” debuts at 9:45pm local time on Austin’s PBS affiliate KLRU-Q. This will be the TV version of Harry’s popular AintItCool.com website and web series of the same name.
Harry’s show will premiere after the 7 O’Clock “Q Night at the Movies” film on the Public Broadcasting channel. He’ll be doing his reviews and comments on the popular culture news of the day along with interviews. The 7 episode debut season includes appearances from guests Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle, Beau Willimon creator of “House of Cards”, Burt Reynolds, horror film legend Wes Craven and film critic Leonard Maltin. The show takes place in his “Magic Basement” with his dad and projectionist, Pops.
Harry Knowles ran a successful Kickstarter campaign to raise money to bring his AICwHK to television. The show was originally a web series that ran on the Nerdist YouTube channel.
“Ain’t It Cool with Harry Knowles” will be available on his AintItCool.com website after the episodes air on KLRU-Q.
