Adam Sandler To Make Movies Exclusively For Netflix
Adam Sandler and Netflix has reached a 4 picture deal to star in and produce the movies to premiere exclusively on Netflix.
According to Netflix, Sandler movies are some of the most viewed on the streaming service and they’re watched over and over again. Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos talked about Sandler’s popularity with movie lovers. He said “His appeal spans across viewers of all ages — everybody has a favorite movie, everyone has a favorite line — not just in the US but all over the world.”
Sandler’s production company, Happy Madison, will work with Netflix to produce and develop the upcoming four movies. The company said this doesn’t include anything Sandler has in the works right now.
As for Sandler, he had a very specific reason why he wanted to partner with Netflix. “When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only….Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks. Let the streaming begin!!!!”
