The NFL Players Association is filing a grievance against the New England Patriots on behalf of Hernandez for $82,000 dollars in off season workout bonuses he should have received. He did attend the off season workouts between April and June of this year.
The NFLPA said “On behalf of all players, it is our responsibility to protect the rights in the collective bargaining agreement. We are not tone-deaf to what the allegations are in this case, but for the benefit of all players, there are important precedents here we must protect.” Whatever the reasoning behind it, Aaron Hernandez must be loving prison right now.
