Tablets and smartphones are creeping into the traditional desktop PC’s dominance over web surfing. Adobe did the research by studying 1 billion web visits across 1,000 websites. What we’re seeing here is the beginning of the switch from the PC and laptop to a computing culture that relies primarily on smartphones, tablets, and hybrid “phablets”. It’s already begun in Japan and the rest of the world looks to follow suit. Considering that tablets and smartphones only became truly accessible and affordable in the last 5 years or so, the writing is on the wall.
