The UN is Coming for the Internet
The World Conference on International Telecommunications is happening in Dubai in December for two weeks, where governments will meet to decide if and how they can control the internet and its usage. The meetings are private and are only attended by government officials.
Rumors of censoring the internet have been thrown around and charging US users money to access foreign websites. They liken it to a long distance phone call where the sender is the one paying the bill. Google has already released a statement against the conference, and anyone who uses the internet on a daily basis should be against this as well.
