Jen Kirkman Confesses Her Inner Brian Regan to Carson Daly
Jen Kirkman has a big special coming out on Netflix this week and she hung out with Carson Daly to help promote it. She talked about how she wants to die (over 100, in a hospital bed with a morphine drip), the prejudices people have about women who don’t have kids (everyone says ‘you’ll change your mind’), what she wants her comedy to sound like (the Breeders) and performing like she’s still working out her material (she’s not).
She also told Daly she isn’t as hard edged as people assume she is. She said she wants to be as lovable Brian Regan. “People misinterpret my voice and the way I dress for ‘oh she’s hard’ but I’m really not. I want to be as funny and lovable as Brian Regan. My essence is not that…but that’s what in my heart.”
