LAFF TV Expands Its Network

The LAFF Network is ready to go on the air on Wednesday, April 15th. As the launch date gets closer LAFF is expanding its territory. Katz Broadcasting announced that more cities have been added to the network in a new deal with Cox Media Group. This brings LAFF to Atlanta, Boston, Seattle, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Charlotte and Dayton on the Cox TV stations in those cities.
LAFF will carry “a mix of contemporary off-network sitcoms and popular theatrical motion pictures, with a target audience of adults 18-49”. The network has already picked up the rights to over 800 episodes of “The Drew Carey Show”, “Empty Nest”, “Grace Under Fire”, “Night Court” and “Ellen”, the sitcom starring Ellen DeGeneres which ran for 4 seasons on ABC.
The addition of the Cox Media Group stations to the LAFF network expands it to even more markets. LAFF is already scheduled to launch on ABC Owned Television stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Raleigh and Fresno. Plus, on stations owned by the E.W. Scripps Company in Detroit, Phoenix, Tampa, Denver, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Baltimore, San Diego, Kansas City, Cincinnati, West Palm Beach, Buffalo and Tulsa.
