Nooooooo! IFC Cancels Another Comedy Series

One of IFC’s scripted comedies won’t be coming back for a second season. According to Deadline, the network has cancelled “Garfunkel and Oates”.
The series featured Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci as the comedy folk duo Garfunkel and Oates. It followed both their personal and professional lives and was highlighted by songs from the women that were both satirical and usually profane. “Garfunkel and Oates” ran for 8 episodes during its single season and concluded last September.
IFC is home to other scripted comedies including “Comedy Bang Bang” and “Portlandia”. However this is the network’s second recent comedy cancellation. In January, IFC cancelled the sketch comedy show “The Birthday Boys” co-created by Bob Odenkirk.
