Amy Poehler Gives As Good As She Gets At Hasty Pudding Roast
Amy Poehler was honored as Woman of the Year with a roast by Harvard’s Hasty Pudding theatrical troupe. The problem with rich kids roasting a person like Amy Poehler is that she’s going to roast back. After a parade featuring the Harvard gang dressed in drag, the event went formal with the Ivy Leaguers taking shots at Amy over early movie roles and lack of Emmy wins.
According to the Boston Globe, Poehler came back with some comments about the Hasty Pudding organization itself, saying, “It’s unsettling that there will be no women on stage tonight. You know its time for a change when the Augusta National Golf Club has lapped you.” She added, “I haven’t seen so many smiling white faces since I took my top off at a mime convention.”
The Harvard guys didn’t know what they we’re getting into. Haven’t they ever watched the Golden Globe Awards!?
Chris Pratt will be honored as Hasty Pudding’s Man of the Year in a separate ceremony on February 6th.
