“Girls” EP Jenni Konner Sides With Judd Apatow on Cosby Criticism

Jenni Konner, Judd Apatow

Jenni Konner no only shares an “executive producer” title with Judd Apatow on the HBO comedy series “Girls”, but she also shares the same feelings he has over Bill Cosby. Konner talked to the Huffington Post about the criticism Apatow has received for his non-stop social media diatribe against Cosby since the sexual assault allegations came out against him. In particularly, the criticism from “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris, who claims Apatow is getting a “sick pleasure” from attacking Cosby and trying to shut down his live appearances.

After Barris called Apatow “obsessed” for his fixation on helping bring Cosby down, Jenni Konner said, “I thought it was insane. I wish that everyone was as obsessed [as Judd is] with the idea that [Cosby] should not be working and not be getting paid to work. … I feel like Judd is the only one talking about it really, publicly, or one of the only celebrities and certainly one of the only men talking about it. And so I think the reason he is going on and on about it is because no one else is, and thank God he is. Like, I’ve never been prouder to be his partner than at this moment.”

Judd Apatow will next be seen guest hosting the Late Late Show on CBS. He’s helping bridge the gap between hosts Craig Ferguson and James Corden on Thursday, January 22nd at 12:35 am et with guests Lena Dunham and Adam Adam Sandler and on Friday, January 23rd with special guest, Seth Rogen.  He may also take the opportunity to bring up Bill Cosby.
