Big Jay Oakerson’s ‘What’s Your Fucking Deal’ Will Debut on March 17th on Seeso!

Big Jay Oakerson‘s giant new series What’s Your Fucking Deal debuts on Seeso network on March 17th and we’re excited. Also debuting on March 17th are two more comedy series, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, and New York’s Funniest, plus Cameron Esposito’s first stand up special Marriage Material premieres March 24th.

What’s Your Fucking Deal is the first all crowd work stand up show taped for series. It’s hosted by Big Jay Oakerson and Ardie Fuqua. The series was taped in November at the legendary The Bitter End in NYC and featured an incredible lineup with Colin Quinn, Mark Normand, Andy Kindler, James Adomian, Joe Derosa, Hannibal Buress, and Jessica Kirson, among others. You will get to see Big Jay out of his usual black t-shirt, you will get to see comedy that no traditional network would ever air, and you will get to meet some very strange New York characters in the audience. The audience doesn’t quite become the star of the series- the comics get that honor, but you will love seeing what kind of people come out to watch comedy every night in NYC.

The concept came from something Oakerson and Fuqua used to do informally late at night at the Comedy Cellar in New York City. Oakerson wanted to do something different late at night when he felt the crowd was already beaten down from hearing jokes, so he and Ardie would just riff, with Jay on stage and Fuqua walking around the audience with a mic trying to entertain themselves, and the staff.  The show killed at Montreal Just for Laughs 2013, and now it has a home exclusively on Seeso beginning on March 17.

New York’s Funniest is set at the famed Caroline’s on Broadway. Since 2008, the “New York’s Funniest” competition has put a spotlight on New York’s best up and coming stand up performers, and every year it’s an impressive run. This year Saturday Night Live’s Michael Che hosted the finals and he and and Leslie Jones host the show. If you don’t live in New York and you want to see who are tomorrow’s biggest names in comedy, you’ll get your chance on March 17th.  You will get the chance to see Nick Mullen, Doug Smith, Sara Armour, Randy Syfax, Mike Briskin, Evan Williams, Matt Pavich, Anthony Devito, Nimesh Patel, Charles Gould and other great names you will come to love very quickly watching the series.

We got to attend the tapings for WYFD and New York’s Funniest, and they’re both great shows.  We haven’t seen Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ yet, but it’s described as a half-hour spoof of a reality show featuring an ensemble of real estate agents set against the backdrop of a luxury, cut throat LA real estate firm.
