Robin Williams Estate Sold to French Winemakers

Villa Sorriso or “ Villa of Smiles” the sprawling 640 acre spread sold on Monday for $18.1 Million dollars according to the New York Daily News. Built for Robin Williams in the early 2000’s, the estate offered a home theater, infinity pool, a home theater, three safe rooms, and access to hiking trails surrounding the home.
Williams, never one to stray from love, said he had originally put the estate on the market in 2012 to pay for past romances. “There are bills to pay. My life has downsized, in a good way. I’m selling the ranch up in Napa. I just can’t afford it anymore — divorce is expensive” said Williams.
The ranch was originally listed at $35 million, and has been put on and off the market multiple times over the last three years. The new owners of the property are French winemakers Alfred and Melanie Tesseron, the Wall Street Journal reported. The sale, along with the settlement of the eight month long estate feud between Robin’s children and his ex wife in October, puts the family one step closer to closure.
