New Ghostbusters Trailer Adds Some Familiar Faces

ghostbusters new trailer

The Paul Feig directed Ghostbusters reboot has a new trailer that was released on the official Facebook page for the movie. The first trailer that was released on March 3rd became the most disliked trailer in the history of YouTube so it makes sense that this one pulled out some bigger guns to get fans more excited.

This trailer features some of the Ghostbusters franchise favorites like The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Slimer. The trailer also has a whole lot more Chris Hemsworth screen time and our first looks at SNL cast member Cecily Strong’s role, as well Mad TV alumni Michael McDonald who starts off the trailer. There are a bunch of new scenes added to the trailer as well as turning into pretty much a complete overhaul of the original trailer.

It will be interesting to see if this trailer gets a better reception. It focuses less on the main cast, more on the supporting characters and features a whole lot more ghosts. Fans of the original should be more appeased seeing their favorites pop up for a split second. The trailer also gives a better look to fans of how far special effects have come since the Ghostbusters last protected NYC, meaning we may be in store for some really great fight scenes.

Ghostbusters will be released in theaters on July 15th.
