Maria Bamford and Henry Winkler team up to poke fun at your well being.
No one handles the topic of mental illness better than Maria Bamford and her upcoming web series “You are Nothing” promises a darkly funny look at modern life, the self help industry and our search for easy answers to not-so-easy questions.
Bamford will narrate the series starring Starring Henry Winkler as “Doctor” Sherman Watts Doctor in parenthesis because he is not licensed to practice in the US, setting the tone for the dark comedy by poking fun at an industry that often has self proclaimed healers at its epicenter.
The series is produced by Mike Stivala and Jody Woytas of Steel Tree Films, an Emmy award winning production company. Bamford also has has a new show, “Lady Dynamite,” scheduled to premiere on Netflix later this year, while Winkler is filming his new NBC show “Better Late Than Never.”
“You Are Nothing” is slated for a summer 2016 release on several major digital platforms, including YouTube
