Katt Williams Priceless Afterlife Coming to Showtime

Brash, outspoken, controversial and straight up fearless, Katt Williams is a comedy mainstay. His first HBO special, The Pimp Chronicles, Pt.1, made him a full blown star and led to several high profile film appearances. Williams’ straight forward, in your face style has made him a lighting rod in recent years – a series of arrests ranging from assault to burglary and several no-shows for concerts prompted Williams to briefly retire. The retirement, however, was short-lived and since 2013, Williams has been killing audiences with his Growth Spurt tour.

Priceless: Afterlife is Katt Williams’ latest HBO comedy special and he got some help from a long time fan Spike Lee, who directed the special. Lee filmed Williams this past May at Citizens Bank Area in Ontario, California. Expect to hear Katt tackle a variety of subjects including homophobia in pro sports; the advantages and disadvantages of being single, how America handles major tragedies, and racism. Williams also gets personal, talking about his recent dealings with police, his stay at a mental institution, his inspirations and much more.

Priceless: Afterlife premieres Saturday, August 16th at 10pm Eastern on HBO.
