Art Sucks.com 10th Anniversary Celebration
Hey, it’s Cojo from ArtSucks.com here. I’m the artist who did the Opie and Anthony Portrait back in 2006. I also did a portrait of Laura from Booking when she was the producer on The Bower Show on Maxim Radio (I was Maxim’s lead artist from 2002-2006), and I was recently contacted about doing a piece for the Patrice O’Neal benefit.
Anyway, just wanted to throw this out there for loyal Ron & Fez fans (B.A.C. 1230, old school Hoo ha!) and O&A fans who also listen to Ron & Fez, or read theibang. I’m having an EPIC 10 Year Anniversary party for my art blog Art Sucks on Thursday, January 10th from 8pm to 2am at Studio XXI, on 21st street in NYC.

The venue holds about 300 and through the Facebook invite and Two Art Meetup groups we will have this place packed with artists, art collectors, art writers, etc…
So two things. For anyone in the NY area that is into art, listening to live jazz, and wants to come hobnob with NY’s creative crowd, please do! Support the arts! There will be live music, live art, some free ArtSucks schwag, it’s in a beautiful venue that mimics an old time recording studio right on 6th Ave. We have a live DJ as well in between performers.
I will also have an exhibit of hand drawn pencil sketches on sale to raise money for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. So if you do come and want to help out that cause, you can do that, and take home a piece of art for much cheaper than I usually charge.
Second:
If you own a business (you don’t have to live in NY for this) and your business is something art related, or your product could cater to artists, writers, or creative people, then we would love to have you help monetarily sponsor this event and co-brand the venue with your logos, etc.. The promoter will get you all the details on that if you just follow the link to the event and check it out.
