Ghostheads To Document Ghostbusters Fan Culture

Move over Trekkies, Ghostheads are here.

Rabid fans of Columbia Pictures Ghostbusters franchise are finally getting the attention they deserve. With Ghostbuster Fan clubs in every state, Director Brendan Mertens hopes to shine some light on the culture and personalities that make up Ghostbusters fandom. Adding credibility to the project, Mertens has already secured candid interviews with Ghostbusters royalty Ivan Reitman, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and William Atherton and hopes his new documentary will elevate the Ghostheads culture.

With the all -female cast remake of Ghostbusters in theaters this summer, it is a great time to explore the personalities of the fans and dig into what makes some movies more prone to obsession than others.
