The current guest host on the Late Late Show is definitely one of our favorites. We’ve been waiting for for the last 20 years to see someone freshen up the Late Night show open format, and Will Arnett finally delivered a monologue that you won’t see anywhere else. He goes introspective in front of the mirror planning for his big moment. Anything can happen now. Anything is possible. Maybe he can get the Price is Right and finally get it cancelled! Maybe he’ll take over the 11:30 spot. Colbert who? If he can only figure out the secret to transforming himself from actor to Late Night host. What is the key? What is the thing that will make it happen?
Arnett had great guests, David Cross, John Krasinski and Jimmy Kimmel. There were some awkward moments, but did you expect any less? And when the night came to a close, we got the closure we needed, as Jimmy Kimmel took the mic for what might be the most emotional musical moment in the history of late night television. And by might, we mean, not at all. But you still won’t want to miss it.
