There’s A New Carnivore In Town
The Smithsonian has discovered a new species of carnivore – a mammal found in the Andean cloud forests. It’s a small, bushy-tailed, rust-colored furry mammal they named the olinguito. The animal is the first new carnivore species found in the Western Hemisphere in 35 years and is related to the raccoon. Although, the raccoon thinks the olinguito is making that part up to get its paws on the family fortune.
