TBS Renews Two Comedy Series

TBS announced today that Tracy Morgan’s The Last O.G. will get a season two. Tracy Morgan’s long held up series follows Trey, a convict who went to jail over a drug deal and didn’t rat on this friends. Set in present day, Trey is trying to adjust to live in the 2010’s, feeling like a man out of time learning how to use an iPhone, getting used to a gentrified Brooklyn, and learning that his ex has moved on and forgot to tell him he had two kids. The series stars Tiffany Haddish, Tracy Morgan and Cedric the Entertainer.

Also renewed is dark comedy Search Party, grabbing a third season for the ensemble cast that includes Alia Shawkat, John Early, Meredith Hagner, John Reynolds, and Brandon Micheal Hall.

“We couldn’t be prouder of these two comedies and that they’ve been recognized by critics and audiences alike for their uniquely hilarious points of view in a very crowded field,” said Brett Weitz, executive vice president of programming for TBS. “We truly believe ‘The Last O.G.’ and ‘Search Party’ are two of the best shows on television.”
