Comedy’s Cupid! A Comedy Valentine’s Day Wish List

With Valentines Day right around the corner, love is in the air-- but is it in the green room of comedy venues around the U.S.? Apparently not, since these more than eligible laugh makers are still making reservations for one. Hopefully, with a little help from our very own Cupid, these guys and gals will live laugh-ily ever after (and maybe even record a dual stand-up special!).

Broad City Gets Fourth and Fifth Season

Yaaaas Kweens! Amy Schumer isn't the only hilariously funny Comedy Central star kicking sweet '16 off with big news. Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer are getting fourth and fifth seasons on Comedy Central with the massively popular series "Broad City." Season three of Broad City will premiere in February for a ten episode run.

The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail Gets a Third Season

Comedy Central announced today that they're giving the go ahead to Season Three of The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail. The little show held in the back of a comic shop is LA's hottest stand up show and now it's coming back to Comedy Central for another round of shows.

Enjoying the New York Comedy Festival: The Definitive Guide

We cover the country, but New York's our home, so it's an exciting week when the New York Comedy Festival comes around. It's unlike any other festival in the country. It's gigantic, but it's also decidedly unfestival-like because it's spread out through the entire city without a central focal point. Any week of the year there is a massive festival-worthy list of great comedy happening in New York City so by the time you add in a few extra headlining events, what you really have is a gigantic list of impossible choices and tough decisions.

Stewart greeted the girls by telling them that he loves the show because it is full of joy- a rare quality in this buisiness. The girls explained that they've been driven ever since they were taking classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade. They had to prove to their parents that comedy was a real job, and they were doing it.

No more waiting through unbearably long impressions. Now Abbi and Ilana just need to come up with a micro-explanation for micro-impressions.

Dark Comedy Fargo Earns 5 Critics Choice Nominations

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association announced nominations for the 4th annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards. This is the first awards ceremony that the new FX series Fargo has been eligible for, and the dark comedy grabbed a well deserved five nominations in the mini series categories, including best mini series, two best actor nominations for stars Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman, and two more for supporting performers Alison Tolman and Colin Hanks.
