According to one source, Sean Penn’s trip to Mexico to interview El Chapo was put together by Oliver Stone who wants to make a movie about the drug lords life. Apparently he was willing to offer $6 million for the rights to his story and Penn was down there studying El Chapo while speaking with him. Whatever happens, the El Chapo movie has to be better than Savages.
