Notre Dame Player Beats Up Bar Manager

Jared Beers, a junior defenseman on the Notre Dame hockey team, was arrested Monday night after a weekend incident at Brothers Bar & Grill in South Bend for getting violent with the bar manager when she tried to kick him out.
The woman said Beers refused to leave, and punched her in the face, police said. She told officers he then stepped on her head, face and neck when she fell to the ground, according to a police report.
