The New Movement and HUKA Entertainment have just announced the headliners for this year’s Hell Yes Fest in New Orleans, Louisiana. The festival is one of the biggest comedy events on the Gulf Coast, with previous years bringing in stellar performers such as Tim Heidecker, Doug Benson, Nikki Glaser and Matt Braunger. The festival has continued that tradition with the announcement of its headliners for this year’s festival, taking place from October 7th – 16th, which this year seems to focus on some of the strongest women in comedy.  Their line up, released this week, includes a showcase of the women from MTV’s popular talking-head show Girl Code — including comics Annie Lederman, Carly Aquilino and Jamie Lee..

The winner of last year’s Last Comic Standing, Clayton English will perform at the NOLA Brewing Company. Cameron Esposito, who has become a late-night circuit veteran seemingly overnight- because she’s still one of the nation’s hottest up-and-coming ‘comics to watch’ according to most major media will go on stage with her wife, Rhea Butcher, who is also so hot there’s steam coming off her right now. They’ll be at the Joy Theater. Fortune Feimster will bring some of her friends like Ian Karmel, Jo Firestone, and Matt Ingebretson to put on a show at the NOLA Brewing Company, and the comic tour-de-force, best known for her Comedy Central series The Sarah Silverman Program and the Sundance hit I Smile Back, will round out the festivities with a big finale show at 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 16th at New Orleans’ historic Saenger Theatre.

It’s not only about the women. The star of the Comedy Central show Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time and the cult favorite Grandma’s Boy, Swardson will perform two shows at the Joy Theater. Before Swardson takes the stage for the 10 p.m. show, local comic and winner of last year’s Hell Yes NEXT competition Dane Faucheux will perform an opening set. And Hasan Minhaj is bringing his hit show Homecoming King with his biting social commentary to the NOLA Brewing Company.
