The final chapter of the current Star Wars trilogy, episode IX is set to premiere in December 2019. Disney has been a hold on all future spin-off movies after the failure of Solo: A Star Wars Story, so by 2020 Rian Johnson’s new Star Wars trilogy with brand new characters and stories could premiere.
