NASCAR Has Another Catchfence Crash
You’ve probably heard every expert talking about how Austin Dillon’s frightening accident at Daytona was caused by restrictor plate racing. Problem is, Kentucky Speedway isn’t a restrictor plate track, but Ben Kennedy’s vehicle still flew up into the catchfence in Thursday’s Truck Series race. No spectators were sitting in that section at the time of the accident. The crash occurred with five laps to go, but due to the length of time it’d take to repair the damage, NASCAR decided to call the race and declare Matt Crafton the winner.
