Who’s on Late Night Tonight in Comedy?

It’s the holiday season and most of our late night hosts are on vacation and giving viewers the gift of reruns this week. The NBC boys, Jimmy F. and Seth will be working and the Daily Show has all fresh content this week, but everyone else is going into “Best Of” mode.

However, there is one new highlight that we’re thrilled about in late night comedy this week. Nationally headlining comedian and one of our all-time favorites Robert Kelly will be performing on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon this coming Thursday night. Whether he’s on stage, television, doing his “You Know What Dude” podcast on the Riotcast Network, or appearing on shows like Bennington, Artie & Anthony and Jim Norton & Sam Roberts, Robert Kelly always steals the show. And we guarantee it will be quite the event when he takes the Tonight Show stage. Congratulations Bobby!

This week, the Daily Show with Trevor Noah will be looking back at another insane year in politics and the news. Each night has a theme, starting Monday with “The Yearly Show 2017“, then a look at all the White House casualties this year with “You’re Fired: In Memoriam” on Tuesday, followed by “It’s the End of the Year As We Know It” on Wednesday and Thursday’s “Out of Office 2017” which will review all the pols who found themselves out of their government jobs this year.

In other highlights, on Monday, the brilliant Academy Award winner Randy Newman will be on Tonight Show. Give yourself an early Christmas gift and set your DVR to record Randy Newman’s Tonight Show performance Monday night. In Monday repeat highlights, Stephen Colbert is breaking out a repeat featuring Jim Gaffigan and Cristela Alonzo.

On Tuesday, Seth Meyers has an interview and holiday performance on a new Late Night from Seth MacFarlane, who sings as well as he creates animated comedies and pisses off Oscar critics. And in repeats, if you’re still in a “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” frame of mind, Jimmy Kimmel has the entire cast on Tuesday’s JKL encore.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has a repeat on Thursday which is definitely worth a second watch. It’s a reunion featuring the Daily Show host and cast from Colbert’s years as part of The Best F#@king News Team Ever on Comedy Central, with Jon Stewart, Samantha Bee, John Oliver, Ed Helms and Rob Corddry.
