Kenan Thompson to Produce and Star in New Sketch Series…..For Kids

Saturday Night Live’s Kenan Thompson is teaming back up with some of his old co-workers at Nickelodeon, as it was announced this week that the senior SNL player will be creating and executive producing a new show for kids media brand Pocket.watch. The show, called pocket.watch presents SKOOGLE, will be a sketch show aimed at kids aged 2-11 in which Thompson plays the Alexa-like digital assistant SKOOGLE, whose main function is to help kids with their day-to-day problems. The show will be a modern take on the sketch format, satirizing topics relevant to the digital age that today’s kids are now so familiar with. Thompson will be the executive producer and main creative force behind the show which will also have him teaming up with former All That producers Josh Server and Albie Hecht.

“Kenan Thompson is a comedic genius,” said Albie Hecht, Chief Content Officer at pocket.watch, of the announcement. “At Nickelodeon, I witnessed first-hand Kenan and his fellow cast members ability to turn everyday scenarios into hilarious adventures. I’m very excited to have the opportunity to once again re-team with Kenan and bring premium sketch comedy to a new generation of fans.”
