J.B. Smoove Will Be the Next Guest on Unmasked
J.B. Smoove will be the next guest on SiriusXM’s critically acclaimed Unmasked series in New York City. Smoove will tape the hour at SiriusXM’s headquarters in New York City with host Ron Bennington in front of a live audience. The episode will tape on Thursday, December 7th at 12:30pm at the Sirius XM Studios in their famed Fishbowl.
J.B. will be talking about his amazing career in comedy as well as the new book written by Smoove in collaboration with his alter ego Leon Black, The Book of Leon: Philosophy of a Fool. The book is based on beloved character of “Leon” in the iconic HBO comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm, which is just about to wrap up its newest season. J.B.’s breakout role on Curb has established him as one of the most beloved comedic actors today, but his career goes back to 1999 when he landed some featured guest spots on The Chris Rock Show, and his unforgettable feature film debut in Pootie Tang. He also costarred in Mr. Deeds opposite Adam Sandler, spent a season on Cedric the Entertainer Presents and wrote for Saturday Night Live. Smoove hosted Last Comic Standing, has been featured on shot his own one-hour stand-up special, How I Dooz It and his MSG show Four Courses with JB Smoove is in it’s fourth season. Other movie roles include Date Night, Hall Pass, The Sitter, We Bought a Zoo, The Dictator, Top Five, and plenty of voice roles.
The Unmasked series documents the careers of the very best comedy writers, directors, filmmakers, actors, screenwriters, satirists, political comedians, comedic musicians and of course, stand up comedians in the business. With over 150 episodes so far, Unmasked is a veritable archive of the greatest comedy of our time.
