Actresses Felicty Huffman and Lori Laughlin have been caught in a nationwide bust up of a college exam cheating scandal. They’re both charged with felony conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. Dozens of parents, sports coaches and college prep executives have also been arrested from colleges across the country. Both actresses were accused of paying 15k to help their kids do better on their SATs.
The gist of the scam is people were paying others to take the SAT and ACT for their children to get them into prestigious colleges. They would also make fake profiles for their high school students to make them look like athletes to help their chances getting into the school. This is as convoluted as a Desperate Housewives plot.
