David Letterman Returning Home to Late Night For the First Time Since 1993

David Letterman will be a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers on May 23rd and it will be a big homecoming for the late night king.

David Letterman changed comedy on February 1, 1982 when NBC debuted the very first “Late Night” show, then titled, Late Night with David Letterman. The 12:30am show was a game changer, and continued on without him after Letterman left to take the 11:30 slot at CBS.

Letterman retired in 2015, and took a few years off before returning to television with a Netflix interview series.

Late Night’s current EP, Mike Shoemaker, tweeted the news today.
