Comedy Dynamics to Release Carlin’s ‘Jammin’ In New York’ on Vinyl for Record Store Day

Exciting news for the stand-up comedy enthusiast in your life: Comedy Dynamics, the independent comedy production company that’s produced specials for the likes of Tom Segura, Bill Burr and Doug Stanhope, has just announced that they will be releasing George Carlin’s Grammy Award-winning HBO special Jammin’ In New York on vinyl as part of Record Store Day.

Jammin’ In New York was Carlin’s eighth HBO special and 14th overall album. While assembling his autobiography with friend and author Tony Hendra, he revealed to Hendra that Jammin’ In New York was his favorite of the HBO specials he’d recorded, so you know this one is just brimming with that Carlin magic. Now, it’s being released on vinyl for the first time. Never mind that he discusses some period-specific topics like the Persian Gulf War, Carlin’s political and social commentary is always so spot on that it’s as timeless as any comedy can be.

Record Store Day takes place on Saturday, April 22nd nationwide, so be sure to get to your nearest record store and scoop up this piece of comedy history ASAP.
