Christoph Waltz’s Dark Interpretation of Sesame Street Song
In Germany, Sesame Street is called Sesom Shtrasse or something like that, and of course it’s all dubbed into German. Waltz felt it was important for his kids to be Americanized and felt watching the show was a great way to do that, and he has a great fondness for the show. He says he still watches it, calling the show poignant, deep, trenchant, raw and full of despair. The theme song haunts him. He performs it for Jimmy Kimmel and the audience. And it turns out he’s right. Poignant, deep, trenchant, raw….and full of despair. The weird thing is, this wasn’t planned at all.
Somehow this all promotes Horrible Bosses 2! Out November 26!
Waltz also talked his friendship with Quentin Tarantino. When Quentin has a new script that he wants Christophe to consider, C has to go over to Q’s house and sit down and read it in from him, at Quentin’s house. So we know Christophe isn’t the leak. Next suspect….
